Manufacturing efficiency improvements sees CCA close Bayswater facility, 57 roles redundant

In an ASX Release titled ‘Coca-Cola Amatil to increase manufacturing efficiency’, Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) this week announced it will “relocate production from a small facility in Melbourne to its larger capital city facilities as part of its strategy to increase manufacturing efficiencies and productivity across the business.

“The Bayswater facility will be closed and 57 permanent roles will be made redundant. The closure program will not be immediate, but will be transitioned over the next 12 months.”

When contacted by C&I, Coca-Cola Amatil was unable to provide any detail other than that contained in the ASX Release. For a full transcript of the 28 October release, click here.
