Michael and Roz White also received the 2015 Community Award for their contribution to the community. Roz has previously won this award in 2008 and 2009.

Mrs White said, that while she was really proud of winning the Retailer of the Year award, “The community award is personally very special to me because so many of our fellow IGA Retailers make an extraordinary contribution to their communities right across Australia.

“To receive an acknowledgement such as this is truly humbling.”

Retailers are judged on a range of criteria including sales, profits, merchandising, customer service, living the brand values, culture and the store’s performance and offering. National awards will be announced on the Gold Coast in July. There are over 1,400 independently owned and operated IGA stores nationwide.
