The high-protein, low-sugar ice cream Halo Top has announced that it will be available for purchase at independent retail locations.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavour was announced at the same time the company said it would be rolling out its products to IGA’s and independents nation-wide.
Previously, the American ice cream was only available to Australian’s via Woolworth’s supermarkets, but this move means that it will now be more easily accessible to customers wishing to purchase.
The company’s website said it uses organic stevia to sweeten the ice cream, and keep the calories low.
“We also use Erythritol, which though it has a rather scientific-sounding name, is actually another all-natural sweetener found in fruits like pears and grapes,” it said.
“While Halo Top is low-calorie, high-protein, and low-sugar, we use only the best, all-natural ingredients to craft our ice cream so that it tastes just like regular ice cream.
“We know it sounds too good to be true, so don’t just take our word for it – dig in and see for yourself just how good healthy ice cream can be!” the website said.
