Coles has today launched a new ‘Little Shop’ promotion, with Coles shoppers offered a free toy – a miniature version of popular products like Weet-Bix or Tim Tams – for every $30 spent.
Consumers will also be able to win a $100 gift card if they find a miniature Coles Big Red Hand inside their Little Shop collectable pack.
“We know our customers love collectables, so we have worked with our suppliers to launch a fun new collectable campaign in our supermarkets across Australia,” said Coles chief operating officer Greg Davis.
“Little Shop features 30 iconic household brands – including Vegemite, Nutella and Weet-Bix – shrunk down into a miniature replica for customers to collect and swap.”
However, Coles has faced backlash from environmental groups and health advocates who have denounced the campaign, saying that it undercuts the recently implemented plastic bag ban and amounts to commercial exploitation of children.
The promotion runs from 18 July until 28 August.
