Milk fresher for longer

Queensland companyNaturo is working on technology that will allow bottle of milk to stay fresh for up to 60 days.

The ‘world-first’ technology is set to be the biggest breakthrough globally in the milk industry since pasteurisation in 1864.

News.com.au said the process has been approved by Dairy Food Safety Victoria and is said to ensure no additives or preservatives.

The new technology comes in the form of a processing technique that keeps the milk in a state that is safe for human consumption for up to two months.

So far the technology has only been applied to cow’s milk but has the potential to be expanded across to other forms of milk.
