Heineken set to launch Australia’s first beer drive-thru

To celebrate the national launch of the brand’s first alcohol-free beer, Heineken 0.0, Heineken will launch the Heineken 0.0 Beer Drive-Thru at Tempe in Sydney’s inner west next week.

As part of the ‘Now You Can’ campaign about transforming traditionally non-beer moments into opportunities to enjoy alcohol-free beer, Heineken is launching Australia’s first ‘beer drive-thru’ at 886-896 Princes Highway, Tempe on Wednesday, 11 September.

Damian Dabkowski, Heineken Country Manager, Australia, said: “Heineken 0.0 launched globally in 2017 and is exceeding expectations in all 51 markets. In Australia, we estimate that the no alcohol beer segment will reach 22ML in five years, so it is a huge opportunity,” he said.

Following the launch in Sydney, the company will be taking itsHeineken 0.0 ‘One for the Road Bar’on a tour across Australia.

There is nothing preventing convenience stores in Australia from stocking beverages with zero alcohol contents, which could lead to a further uptake in the category.
