Australian packaging up for global awards

Australian and New Zealand companies have been named among the finalists for the WorldStar Packaging Special Awards.

Run by the World Packaging Organisation, one New Zealand and three Australian companies are among the nominations.

They include Plantic RV skin packaging materials, nominated in the President’s Award. Woolworths’s bakery plant fibre tray in the Sustainability award, which NZ/s LewisRoad 100% ePET milk bottle is also nominated.

And lastly, Hazeldene’s Chicken Farm and Sealed Air for Cryovac Darfresh on Tray is up for the Packaging that saves food award.

The awards will take place in Duesseldorf, Germany on May 8.
