Dairy Farmers launches new high-protein smoothie range

Dairy Farmers has launched a new high-protein smoothie range aimed at helping Australians increase their morning protein intake.

According to research commissioned by Dairy Farmers, 9 out of 10 Australians believe protein is essential for overall health, yet 40 per cent are still seeking easy and tasty ways to boost their intake in the morning. The study also found that 42 per cent feel they don’t consume enough protein early in the day, with time, effort, cost and limited options cited as the main barriers*.

The new Dairy Farmers Protein Smoothies + Prebiotics contain 30 grams of dairy protein, added prebiotics for gut health, and no added sugar.

Anne Scott, Senior Brand Manager for Dairy Farmers, said they’ve created Dairy Farmers Protein Smoothies + Prebiotics to offer Aussies a convenient and delicious way to include more protein in their mornings, especially for those looking for something quick, satisfying, and different from the usual savoury options like meat or eggs.

“Our new Protein Smoothies were designed for real life – whether you’re tackling the morning rush, after a workout, or when you need to pack some Oomph into your day. The texture is light and smooth, and with the authentic taste of a real smoothie, you can enjoy all the benefits of 30g protein and prebiotics.”

The product launch comes amid growing demand for protein-rich dairy drinks, with the category increasing 88 per cent in value over the past three years**.

The smoothies are available in three flavours – Chocolate, Banana Honey, and Mixed Berry – and are now on sale in across the country through major retailers.
