General Mills Australia has been recognised as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces for Women in 2025 by Great Place To Work, a global authority on workplace culture.
The ranking is based on Great Place To Work’s assessment methodology, which includes employee feedback, analysis of gender representation at all levels, and insights from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency.
Karen Jenkins, Managing Director of General Mills ANZ, welcomed the recognition, saying it reflects the company’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.
“General Mills is incredibly proud to be named once again as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces for Women in 2025 for our Australian Corporate Office in Victoria and our Manufacturing Facility in Rooty Hill, New South Wales.
“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to create an inclusive and empowering workplace where women can be themselves and feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive in their careers, while also having fun.”
The company offers initiatives such as mentorship, coaching, leadership training, and parental leave support. It also provides a flexible work model under its ‘Work with Heart’ philosophy, which was developed in Australia and has since been adopted globally.
“Women play a critical role in driving our business forward every day and we will continue to champion women’s success in the years ahead,” Jenkins said.
General Mills employs over 220 staff across its Australian headquarters in Melbourne and its manufacturing facility in Rooty Hill, Sydney. The company produces brands including Old El Paso, Latina Fresh, Nature Valley, Fibre One, Häagen-Dazs, Betty Crocker, and 25˚ South.
