Z Energy launches new loyalty program

Z Energy has launched a new loyalty program, Z Rewards, offering customers points across a wider range of purchases beyond just fuel.

The program replaces Pumped, which focused on fuel discounts, and allows customers to earn and redeem points on products such as food, coffee, and EV charging. The initiative applies across all Z service stations in New Zealand, which number around 180.

Andy Baird, General Manager, Customer at Z, said the evolution of the Z service station means that along with providing fuel for customers, they are continuing to grow its network of EV charging stations at selected Z sites, and expand its grocery and convenience offers in-store.

“It’s important, therefore, that our loyalty offer evolves with us. Z Rewards does just that – offering customers points for almost all* of their spend at Z, from fuel to food and coffee, through to EV charging.”

Customers can join Z Rewards automatically by downloading the Z App, where they can track their points and receive updates on discounts and new offers. The program also enables Z Energy to personalise communications with customers based on their preferences.

“The aim with Z Rewards is to reward loyal customers with discounts and treats, but it also enables Z to use these insights to then engage with customers in a way that’s most relevant to them,” Baird added. “For example, if they drive an EV, we can let them know when a new EV charging site opens near them.”

The Z App is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
