Victorian Government’s funding boost

The Victorian Government has announced it will be providing additional funding to Crime Stoppers Victoria (CSV).

CSV will be receiving $2.8 million over the next four years as part of a $25 million crime prevention package. These additional funds will allow the charity to continue its work in keeping the community safe.

CSV CEO Erika Owens has welcomed the Victorian Government’s Community Safety Statement funding announcement.

“CSV plays a unique role in our community, as the only not-for-profit crime intelligence and crime prevention service in Victoria,” said Ms Owens.

“We’re extremely grateful to the Victorian Government for its support and commitment to make Victoria a safer place. This funding will go a long way to ensure we can continue our important work with Victoria Police and all our other stakeholders.

“As a charity we rely on the support of our generous corporate partners and donors to support our mission: to make Victoria a safer place for us all to work and live. We see this funding as a wonderful endorsement by the Victorian Government of all of the fantastic results we achieve every year.”

Crime Stoppers Victoria is a not-for-profit crime detection, reporting and prevention organisation. We work with a range of stakeholders to produce a suite of campaigns, services, programs and projects to improve community safety outcomes.

CSV’s Chair of the Board of Directors Mark Burke said the funding boost will ensure we can continue to serve the Victorian community and keep us all safe.

“We’re extremely grateful to the Minister for Police, Lisa Neville, and the Victorian Government for supporting the great work of Crime Stoppers through this generous funding boost,” Mr Burke said.

“The monies will ensure Crime Stoppers Victoria can continue in its efforts to help solve crime and secure justice for victims for many more years to come.”
