Aldi confirms new SA locations, recruiting underway

Aldi Australia’s is currently recruiting for South Australian Store Assistants and expects to fill 30 Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager positions over the next month.

Aldi launched its recruitment drive in June and has since received more than 1300 applications. Viktor Jakupec, Aldi Managing Director – South Australia said, “We’re delighted to see such strong enthusiasm from the South Australian public to join the Aldi business”.

In an industry in which casual roles are prevalent, Aldi says that it primarily offers full-time and part-time permanent retail roles, paid maternity leave (18 weeks at half pay), five weeks annual leave for full-time employees and salaries above industry standards.

Aldi’s physical presence in South Australia is also progressing; two stores have commenced construction at Parafield Gardens and Seaford Heights, while Aldi has added Seaton to its growing list of identified locations. Other areas of interest including Hawthorn, Mount Barker, Hallett Cove, Seaford Heights, Woodcroft, Victor Harbor, Parafield Gardens, Blakeview, St Agnes, Kilburn, Gilles Plains, Berri, Aldinga, Noarlunga, Modbury, Salisbury and the Barossa.

Construction at the Regency Park Distribution Centre is underway and a November completion date is anticipated. The centre will service 20 stores expected to open in the next year and up to 50 stores in the coming years.

This week Canstar Blue announced Aldi had received the Most Satisfied Customers Award in the Supermarket category for the fourth time in the last five years.
