Ashgrove AmazeBalls delivers high protein crunchy cheese snack

Tasmanian dairy company Ashgrove Cheese has launched AmazeBalls a unique crunchy cheese snack utilising exclusive technology available for the Australian market.

According to Ashgrove Cheese marketing and communications manager, Anne Bennett, the technology to create the dehydrated cheese snack has been licensed from Canada, and they are the only company who can produce this product in Australia.

“We take a 20kg block of cheese that is made on our farm and turn it into 1cm cubes. We then place the cubes into a dehydrator removing 30 per cent of the moisture to create a super crunchy all-natural cheese snack with 12 months shelf life and no refrigeration required.

“This follows the whole global phenomenon of natural snacking, like beef jerky, popcorn and veggie chips. This technology allows us to create a natural super crunchy cheese snack that is high in protein and packed with calcium and of course is keto and vegetarian friendly and other than the salted caramel flavour contains low or no sugar.”

AmazeBalls are now available in six flavours including the already released Cheddar and Havarti flavours as well as four recently launched flavours – Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream, Apple Cider Vinegar & Chive, Pizza Supreme and Salted Caramel, which were on display at the recent C&I Expo in Sydney. AmazeBalls are available in 12 gram, 40 gram and 50 gram packs and all sizes are available nationally for sale through petrol and convenience stores.

“Purists love the Cheddar and Havarti, kids love the Pizza Supreme and women absolutely adore the Apple Cider Vinegar & Chive because it goes well with Champagne,” Bennett said.
