Cadbury has been revealed as the number one favourite brand of chocolate lovers in the Asia Pacific Region.
The YouGov study found that a quarter (25%) of respondents to the survey chose Cadbury as their top brand of choice followed by Ferrero Rocher 14%, Nestle 912%, Hershey’s 12% and Lindt 6%.
The study also found that nuts made up three of the top five most popular fillings for chocolate.
Traceability and transparency have made themselves prominent in recent years with 58% of responders considering fair trade certification as an important factor to recognise when buying chocolate.
Of Australian respondents, 45% said they thought fair trade certification was an important factor when buying chocolate.
Across the APAC respondents, 93% highlighted taste as the most important consideration.
