Cocofrio is a gourmet premium dairy-free Australian made icecream that tastes just like dairy-based icecream and is proving to be a great pull for retailers with consumers who are seeking healthy alternatives for a variety of dietary reasons.

Cocofrio is made with pure organic coconut milk and sweetened with natural fruit and with organic rice malt syrup. In just 18 months since its launch, Cocofrio has seen sales take off and is now sold by over 350 retailers nationally including at IGA Express stores.

Cocofrio is an emerging Australia success story that mirrors trends locally and internationally. Cocofrio founder Tintin Sealey says that US industry reports predict that sales of dairy-alternatives made from almonds, rice and coconut milk in the US are expected to reach $1.7 billion next year.

?ur own growth reflects this trend. We are currently on track to increase sales volume and revenue this financial year by 160% and with the strategies we have in place we are expecting those figures to double next year,?she says.

?e’ve really found a strong market niche with health conscious icecream lovers and those with food intolerance who can now indulge once again.?br />

Top sellers in the range of ten flavours include Salted Caramel, Caramel Honey Macadamia and Choc Raspberry Ripple.

Manufactured in Australia and certified organic by Australian Certified Organic, the range is available in 500ml, 5 litre and soon to be release 200ml sized tubs.

The new 200ml tubs are being launched to specifically appeal to convenience store customers and will be available in time for summer. Cocofrio will supply spoons separately (ie tub design does not incorporate spoon). Tubs will be offered in four flavours including new additions to the range.

Cocofrio is currently stocked in IGA Express stores and independent stores such as Hobart’s Hill Street Grocer.
