Food service equipment supplier Avem has acquired refrigeration supplier Quirks Australia Pty Ltd (QAPL), effective September 30, 2016.
Avem is a privately-owned Australian supplier of food service equipment, service, support and logistics to the retail and foodservice markets.
QAPL is a commercial refrigeration products and services business operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (CCA).
Following completion of the acquisition, Avem will be a strategic partner of CCA’s equipment services business.
Avem was established in 1980 and supplies a broad range of foodservice equipment, refrigeration and technical services to many major organisations.
According to Andrew Murray, MD of Avem: “The acquisition will allow Avem to offer customers increased value through an expanded service coverage, a wider range of equipment, broader areas of expertise and continued excellent customer service”.
