Carman’s acquires snack brand Fruit Wise

Carolyn Creswell, the Founder of Carman’s, has announced the acquisition of Adelaide Hills-based snacking brand, Fruit Wise.

Creswell says this is an exciting venture for the Carman’s team as it marks their first acquisition and brings together two like-minded family-owned businesses.

“My kids have loved Fruit Wise fruit straps for over 15 years, so much so they were the number one school lunchbox request! Given how much we all loved the product, I decided to pick up the phone to see if there was any opportunity to work together.

“After a year of discussions, our unparalleled similarities and outlook on healthy snacking helped us finalise what is now Carman’s first ever acquisition. It’s truly a moment that I’m so proud of and I just can’t wait to watch Carman’s continue to grow,” she said.

Bridget Beal, Managing Director, Fruit Wise, said that she immediately knew that this partnership was the right move for Fruit Wise.

“We’ve been family-owned for 15 years, so wanted to make sure we were passing over the reins to someone just like Carolyn, who shared the same outlook about delicious and healthy snacking and looking after Aussie families. We can’t wait to watch Fruit Wise grow under the care of Carman’s.”

Australian-owned and made product is something Creswell holds close to her heart, which is why Fruit Wise will also remain in its original home, nestled in the rolling green Adelaide Hills.

“With so much uncertainty in the world over the last two years, locally made products are becoming more and more important to Aussie families. That’s why I place so much pride in the fact we’re 100 per cent Australian-owned and manufactured.”
