Coles increases focus on value and convenience

Coles has become the first major retailer in Australia to launch a 90-minute click and collect option across more than 400 supermarkets nationally.

Known as ‘Click&Collect Rapid’, the convenient new purchasing option will allow customers to place an order for up to 40 items, with a minimum spend of $30, and pay a flat fee of $5 for it to be picked, packed and ready for collection between 2.30pm and 5pm.

Coles Online Head of Network Development and Customer Delivery James Geddes said Coles was committed to offering customers more convenient solutions.

“Coles Online continues to grow in popularity and we’re excited to launch this offer for customers who are looking for a convenient and affordable shopping experience,” he said.

“The feedback from customers who used Click&Collect Rapid during our trial last year was overwhelmingly positive and it has proven particularly popular with customers who tend to have smaller baskets and shop more frequently as they can place their order during the day and collect it on the way home.”

With many Australians starting to return to work and school, Coles has also recently launched a three-month campaign that will see the price of more than 200 popular products lowered across the store, some by up to 36 per cent, as Coles undertakes a major investment in value.

The campaign has already delivered price reductions on ice cream, fresh convenience foods, in the deli, and on beverages and pet food.
