Executive changes at The Distributors

The Distributors has announced two staff appointments at its national office in Sydney.

Kumar Konduru has been appointed to national IT lead, replacing Mark Williams who has been promoted to national business development manager.

Mr Konduru joined The Distributors a year ago and most recently held the position of IT business intelligence analyst and SQL database manager.

Prior to joining the group, Mr Konduru worked in IT at Salmat Australia. He has also previously worked at ME Bank and Cognizant in India.

George Tsapoutas, general manager, The Distributors, said the appointments support The Distributors’ strategy of growth and continued business development.

“Mark’s in-depth experience of our business, systems, members and suppliers will be very beneficial in the growth of our business with of our customers nationally,” Mr Tsapoutas said.

“Kumar’s development ideas for our IT systems will take our IT platform to the next level, which will not only advantage our business but our customers and suppliers as well.”

Operating 36 locally-owned warehouses nationally, The Distributors is Australia’s leading independent national wholesaler distributors to petrol and convenience, corner stores, pharmacy, newsagents, schools and the route market and specialise in confectionery, beverages, snacks, grocery and customer service.

In July, The Distributors acquired a 50 per stake in digital marketing agency, Impulse Marketing. Impulse Marketing operates Brandz Online, Brandz@Retail, Brandz Apps and Brandz Digital Services for the FMCG industry.
