Ferrero recalls selected products over salmonella fears

Ferrero is working with the NSW Food Authority in recalling certain Kinder products after cases of salmonella were reported in other markets.

Ferrero say there have been no positive tests for salmonella in this market, but are still taking the matter seriously and are recalling the following products manufactured in Belgium:

  • Kinder Surprise Easter Basket (yellow foil wrapper) with Best Before Dates between 7 October and 20 November 2022.
  • Kinder Mini Eggs Hazelnut 100g and Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g products with Best Before Dates between 23 August 2022 and 13 September 2022.

Kinder Surprise 20g single and three-pack eggs in white, blue, and pink varieties, which are manufactured in Italy and sold in Australia are not affected. All other Ferrero products are also not affected by the recall.

If retailers or consumers have any of these products, they are advised not to sell or consume them and to contact Ferrero’s consumer care team on 1800 627 231 or consumercare.AUS@ferrero.com.
