Freedom Foods Group has secured a new strategic partnership agreement with Chinese food and beverage distributor, Pinlive Foods.
Under the partnership agreement, Freedom Foods and Pinlive will expand the range of Pinlive branded food products sourced directly from an Australian manufacturer. This will include dairy and cereal products, with the first of these additional products to launch in China in the second half of the calendar year.
Freedom Foods and Pinlive established their initial collaboration in 2015 for the sourcing and manufacture of Premium Weidendorf UHT milk. The product launched during the Double 11 (China’s largest online shopping day, also known as ‘Single’s Day’) promotion period on Tmall.com and continues to grow sales across key general trade e-commerce platforms in China.
Freedom Foods to launch milk range in Vietnam
The new deal follows the announcement by Freedom Foods that it will also launch a range of dairy milk products in Vietnam. The agreement is in partnership with International Dairy Products (IDP) and will be under IDP’s Love’in Farm brand.
Freedom Foods, through its Pactum Dairy Group business has partnered with IDP to manufacture UHT dairy products for the Vietnamese market. This is the first major partnership in Vietnam, with commencing volume expected to reach 4 million litres in the first year.
The product range will retail at a small premium to domestic UHT fresh products, with IDP aiming to making its high quality Australian dairy milk more accessible to a wider Vietnamese audience
The commencing range includes four SKUs under the Love’in Farm range.
