Life Savers extends Surf Life Saving Australia partnership

Life Savers has renewed its partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia for three more summers following a successful summer campaign with Cody Simpson.

The iconic Australian lolly brand has pledged to donate $300,000 to Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) over the next three years to help provide crucial education on water safety and surf rescue services.

The partnership includes a newly launched range of limited edition packs of Life Savers Stix, Pastilles and Fruit Tingles packaging in collaboration with Surf Life Saving Australia.

In addition, Life Savers has been taking over beaches across NSW and Queensland throughout February, giving out Life Savers products and limited-edition hats with beach activities like ring toss.

John Brennan, Head of Fundraising and Commercial at SLSA, flagged that more education and awareness is needed for those visiting Australia’s coastline.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with iconic lolly brand Life Savers to further our efforts to educate beachgoers and ensure the safety of as many as possible. Last year’s campaign was a big success and allowed SLSA to provide vital services on Australian beaches, keeping them fun and safe for everyone to enjoy.

“We encourage Aussies to join us on our beaches in New South Wales to participate in Life Savers’ beach activations throughout February. We all need to work together to ensure the safety of everyone at the beach.”

Jodi Teasdale, Senior Marketing Manager from Life Savers, said: “We’re proud to announce that we’ve continued our partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia for the next three summers, following our donation of $100,000 last year with the help of Cody Simpson. As a way of saying thanks for our customers’ unwavering support, we’re giving Life Savers fans the chance to win a $5k holiday or one of 1000 limited edition bucket hats this summer.”

To enter the draw, shoppers can upload the receipts for two or more packs of Life Savers confectionery products on lifesaverssummer.com.au.

The limited-edition Life Savers packaging is now available at all retailers for RRP $5. These products are 100 per cent palm oil free and are 100 per cent Australian made.

The next activation will be held at Manly Life Saving Club in Sydney from 24-25 February from 9am to 1pm.
