MOJO Kombucha launches new prebiotic Soda range

Pioneers of fermented beverages, MOJO, has launched a new suite of gut health-centric products, MOJO Kombucha Soda.

Designed to support a different aspect of gut health than regular fermented beverages, MOJO Kombucha Soda is made with prebiotic fibre.

MOJO Kombucha Soda is authentically fermented, low sugar and stevia free and contains 2.5g dietary fibre per serve.

Its unique formulation makes MOJO Kombucha Soda perfect for ranging in channels with cold chain logistics limitations.

The products are designed to support gut health via prebiotic fibre (as opposed to probiotics in MOJO’s other chilled ranges) and are compatible with ambient storage while still offering distinct health advantage in the kombucha category.

Nutrition Scientist and Dietitian, Dr Joanna McMillan, explains, “Prebiotics are types of fibre that stimulate the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut. They’re found in lots of fruits and vegetables like artichoke, garlic, onion and asparagus, bananas, apples and wholegrains like barley and oats. These fibres can’t be digested, so they pass through the digestive system and become dinner for our good bacteria.”

The range has launched in three varieties; Tropical Twirl, Cola Kiss, and Berry Blitz, and is available now to petrol and convenience outlets.

MOJO CEO Anthony Crabb explains that the range is perfect for people seeking a low sugar drink or satisfying alternative to alcohol.

“We understand that gut health support is far more complex than just probiotics,” says Crabb.

“Our team set out to create a tasty and convenient way for people to add to the prebiotic fibre in their daily routine, ensuring that our products are helping to support the health of Australian microbiomes in a way that is new in the kombucha category.

“We’re continuing our mission to help people understand gut health and discover how good it feels when you go with your gut.”
