New Queensland State Manager appointed at Lenard’s

Peter Dawson comes to the role with an extensive background in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, having previously worked at Supa IGA, Metcash/IGA, Smokemark & Gift Box and The Reject Shop.

Harry Rumpler, Chief Executive Officer at Lenard’s, says Dawson is an excellent fit for a leadership role at Lenard’s as he’s experienced and understands consumer behaviour.

“I have known Peter both personally and professionally for 18 years,” said Rumpler.

“We worked together at a previous company, and Peter is well-known in the fast-moving consumer goods sector. He was also an IGA retail store owner for six years, so he understands the needs of our customers.”

Dawson joined the company in October of this year and will work closely with the Queensland sales team to continue growing the Lenard’s brand, especially through the recent partnership with leading wholesale distributor Metcash.

As Lenard’s expands its reach into more and more independent retailers across the country, Dawson said he’s looking forward to growing with the business.

“I would describe myself as a retailer who is all about the team,” said Dawson. “I have been watching the development of the brand, and its retail offer, over the last six months, and I’m looking forward to what we can achieve with this great brand.”

A leader in the fresh food marketplace, Lenard’s 100 per cent Australian barn-raised chickens and chicken products can currently be found in hundreds of locally-owned stores and independent supermarkets nationwide.
