Warrnambool Cheese & Butter (WCB) has launched a new snack range for its Coon cheese and Cracker Barrel brands, addressing the growing trend of savoury snacking on-the-go.
The new snack ranges are available in 20 gram portions (eight pieces).
In addition, WCB’s existing ranging has undergone facial and convenience upgrades, with Cracker Barrel given a new look and feel to appeal to a broader audience.
Coon Colby, Tasty and Mil Lel Parmesans’ shred ranges are also available in new packaging.
Ted Lawson, WCB general manager of marketing, said the new ranges and improvements to existing products addresses the changing needs of consumers.
“People are leading increasingly busy lifestyles where they snack on-the-go, so we wanted to create an offering that made it easy and convenient to enjoy these time-honoured classics from Coon and Cracker Barrel,” Mr Lawson said.
As for the new look and packaging upgrades, Mr Lawson says the company’s rationale is functional and appeal for new and existing consumers.
“We know that packaging design and ease of use/storage, plays such a huge role when encouraging people to reach for a particular cheese. And, whilst we are and always have been confident about the quality and flavour profile of our products, we want to give customers even more reason to stock their baskets with the best of what Australian dairy has to offer.”
New packaging of all additional WCB products will be reflected on shelves from July 2016.
