Pacific Optics’ scoop at Ampol Awards Evening

Pacific Optics was named Ampol’s Ambient/GM Supplier of the Year at the recent Ampol Awards Evening and Supplier Forum.

Held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney last week, the Pacific Optics team walked away with the title ahead of runners-up Repco.

Ben Coleman, General Manager Commercial and E-Commerce, said the team are honoured to win the award.

“We have a great partnership with Ampol and have collectively worked on a lot of initiatives, so it is very pleasing to see the value recognised in our relationship.”

Coleman believes that what sets Pacific Optics apart from its competitors is its entire value chain which consists of: vendor refill, national coverage, state of art warehousing (5-star green standard facility), social compliance and registration with Australian government border control (esg), its own brands, in-house product team, national marketing campaigns above the line, and its extensive industry knowledge.

“We have some really exciting products coming out heading into Christmas in both walkntalk and Fuse. We would turn your attention to Ampol and our other trade partners to find out what is installed but we promise it will sound like fun and keep you connected.”

The collaboration between all the different teams at Pacific Optics is what creates such a great environment, says Coleman, and that it is rewarding to work in such a passionate and high-performance team.

“Honourable mentions to Daniel King, our Senior National Account manager, who was nominated as one of the NAM of year awards, Andrew Poore, Stephen Gartrell, and all State Managers and Field Team, in addition to every aspect of the business.”

Coleman said they have a great working relationship with Ampol.

“The relationship is continuing to deliver growth, and we are also adding additional talent to teams across our business building a great platform to deliver growth and innovation in coming years.”
