Product recall: Pete Evans Healthy Everyday Jamaican Simmer Sauce

Ozganics Australia has issued a recall of the Pete Evans Healthy Everyday Jamaican Simmer Sauce 330g, due to an undeclared contaminant..

The recall is for products with the Batch Code 19220676/1 and Best Before date of 10/07/2022.

The recall is due to Thai Green Curry Sauce 330g being incorrectly packaged as Jamaican Simmer Sauce, which has resulted in the presence of undeclared fish.

The affected product has been available for sale at independent food retailers including IGA in NSW, Queensland and South Australia.

It’s also been on the shelves at health food stores in NSW, Queensland and Victoria as well as pharmacies in NSW and Queensland, and from online retailers nationwide.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, said: “Any consumers who have a fish allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.

“Consumers who have a fish allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
