The manufacturer of Revvies, a caffeinated mouth strip product that saw sales double in 2016, is expecting a further doubling of sales in 2017.
Last year Revvies Energy Strips not only doubled sales, but also more than doubled the number of stores stocking Revvies. By forging strong media partnerships, the product manufacturer gained growing elite sports usage. Having signed a number of highly respected athletes as brand ambassadors, Revvies has been supplied to more than 20 professional clubs, peak national associations and Olympic athletes.
In Australia Revvies achieved national distribution through Australia’s largest pharmacy group, Chemist Warehouse. The group accounts for more than 80 per cent of sports nutrition sales through chemists, making this was a significant step for Revvies.
Revvies also stepped up their consumer marketing with their first Revvies national print ad running in September. December delivered a great finish to the year, with dual Olympian Jessica Trengove and Cricket Australia both adding Revvies to their nutritional programs. Revvies also started trials with numerous sports clubs including the Australian netball team, the Australian Diamonds and Big Bash side the Brisbane Heat.
Throughout the past year Revvies has worked with its brand ambassadors and at relevant events to build product awareness through sampling, supporting retailers and spreading the word among athletes.
Revvies co-founder John Nolan-Neylan said he expects Revvies to again double sales in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and will start exporting to China and Japan, among other countries.
“Now is certainly the time to put Revvies front and centre in-store as we have loads of media activity taking place in the next three months,” he said.
Revvies are available in a convenient slim 5-pack that fits any pocket, purse, gym bag or glovebox, and provide a ready caffeine hit. The small format provides athletes, students and busy people with the ability to have a fast, convenient, sugar-free caffeine boost with them at all times.
This innovative product gained international distribution during the year and is now available as far afield as London and the Ukraine.
