Flexikitch: supporting Australian businesses

The start of 2020 has seen us face unprecedented times with bushfires and now COVID-19, however despite these challenges, Flexikitch are determined to support their customers as they adapt to the ever-changing business environment.

After years of owning hospitality businesses, Alex Aldis and Meaghan Montgomery founded Flexikitch in 2013 and decided to create a product that provides all-in-one distribution, finance and servicing of hospitality equipment.

“The name Flexikitch comes from our goal to provide real flexibility and support business growth. Hospitality equipment can be rented for a short initial term of 12 months, allowing businesses to preserve cashflow while working towards owning equipment outright with transparent terms”.

Flexikitch provides their customers the opportunity to upgrade and downgrade equipment at any time without penalty and provide extended warranty for the lifetime of the equipment rental. Their added value services are making an impact in the industry, with other financiers following suit.

“The credit environment is constrained; banks are tightening their lending and it’s hard to get credit from the tier-one banks. This is where Flexikitch can bridge that gap, starting with sourcing the right equipment through to how you fund your venture. We’re equally interested in who you are and what you can do as we believe in the dream of business ownership”.

In the uncertain times of COVID-19, the company are doing what they can to ensure the survival of customers and hospitality businesses. “We want our customers to know that we’re supporting them every step of the way and are working directly with affected businesses to restructure payments. We’ve reached out to the retail industry to find out what is needed and introduced short term solutions to help businesses respond to the changing environment.”.

“Yes, we do take on additional risk – but this creates a strong alignment with our customers by sharing the journey with them. We’re in this for the long haul”.
