AACS Downunder Study Tour

Forty seven retailers and suppliers from Australia and New Zealand gathered in Sydney last week for the inaugural AACS Downunder Study Tour.

Held over two days, the study tour was the first of its kind for AACS and was modelled off AACS’ annual international study tour.

Attendees travelled around Sydney visiting 10 convenience stores at the forefront of innovation.

“We shouldn’t think that we have to travel overseas to see best in class. We are doing some brilliant things as a country ourselves,” Jeff Rogut, CEO of AACS, said.

As well as networking with other delegates throughout the event, tour attendees were also given the opportunity to speak with store managers and area managers of selected sites.

Day one highlights included Jack & Co; Caltex, Seven Hills; Aldi, McGraths Hill; and BP Marsden Park as well as dinner at China Doll restaurant in Woolloomooloo. Day two’s agenda included The Corner by McCafe; Coles Express, Alexandria; 7-Eleven, Edmondson Park; and Urbanista BP Smeaton Grange.
