The A2 Milk Company has appointed Jayne Hrdlicka as the new head of the company.
Ms Hrdlicka was formerly the chief executive of Jetstar and will continue to work for Qantas until March before joining A2 and replace CEO Geoffery Babidge following his retirement.
Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce said Ms Hrdlicka had been instrumental in the expansion of Jetstar into Asia.
A2 Milk said that Mr Babidge retiring was part of a “carefully planned transition”.
“Geoff has agreed to remain available to the company until the end of next year as an advisor to Jayne and the board as required to ensure a smooth handover and transition,” it said.
Ms Hrdlicka said she was looking forward to working with A2 Milk.
“I look forward to working with Geoff to ensure we maintain his strong legacy through the transition,” she said.
Ms Hrdlicka will join the dairy company at the start of the 2018/19 financial year.
