Mac n Cheese goes vegan

If you thought we’d reached peak vegan, think again. You can now get Mac and Cheese… sans cheese.

Upton’s Naturals has just dropped a pre-cooked, microwavable vegan mac and cheese full of plant based goodness in both an original Ch’eesy Mac and a Ch’eesy Bacon Mac.

Both include a yeast-based cheese in place of the traditional dairy based topping and are nut, dairy, oil, trans far, GMO, cholesterol and artificial flavour free. The ‘bacon’ is made from seitan, a wheat based meat alternative.

Upton’s Naturals’ founder Dan Staackmann said vegan mac and cheese was proving to be one of their most popular foods.

“We’re excited to offer a boxed version of our signature Ch’eesy Mac dish so that Aussies everywhere can enjoy a delicious bowl of comforting vegan goodness on us.”

They’re available nationally in independent grocery stores and RRP for $8.95.
