We may be a while off standing around the grill at a community fundraiser or local sporting match, but McCain is hoping its new pizza release will fill our collective sausage-sizzle void.
Their new Sausage Sizzle Family pizza is inspired by that unique mix of grilled sausages and onion, with a base topped with pork sausage, diced onion and a rich tomato and BBQ sauce.
McCain Foods Brand Manager for Pizza, Alice Briant, said the flavour was expected to bring new shoppers to the pizza category.
“In this current climate shoppers are embracing life at home more than ever and are looking for ways to be inspired with new and interesting flavours. The Sausage Sizzle Family Pizza brings a cultural favourite to the home for families to enjoy together around the dinner table,” Ms Briant said.
“Australian consumers are placing a greater importance on supporting local, seeking
products which are Australian-made and supporting Australian jobs. This new product is
proudly doing so – supporting our people and partners across the supply chain.”
The pizza also has a draw-card in it’s quick cooking time, and is ready in 10 minutes.
It’s available now in Woolworths stores nationally and RRP is $7.00.
