The successful candidate will have great social and selling skills, be passionate about B2B communication and want to absorb everything there is to know about the impulse-based FMCG industry.

Convenience and Impulse Retailing Magazine (C&I Magazine) is

Australia’s stand out market leader in the Route and Convenience & Petrol channels, with an average circulation of 26,641 magazines sent direct to retailers nationwide.  It is also the industry’s dominant player in the digital space.

Established in 1989, C&I Magazine joined The Intermedia Group – Australia’s foremost B2B publisher and exhibition operator – in 2014.

Following an extensive rebrand in 2015, our website has fast become the most up-to-date and comprehensive online resource for those in the convenience and impulse retail channels. C&I Week, our weekly online newsletter, is a compilation of local and international stories, views and analysis.

The Role

As the Sales/Account Manager for these titles and event, you’ll be responsible for selling advertising, exhibition space and sponsorship to suppliers in the Convenience and Petrol industries.

Selling across digital and print products as well as our annual trade show, you will work from a well-established client base but new business development will play an important role, especially in these rapidly evolving markets.

This is a hands-on selling role requiring great social skills as you’ll need to have face to face time with clients and attend events in and outside of office hours.

The Person

We are only after enthusiastic and social people that can sell. You’ll be a natural around people and have some experience in sales as a sales rep or from an FMCG background. Experience in selling events or print and digital media would be an advantage.

You’ll need to be able to pitch and present ideas in sales meetings and follow up with written proposals.

As a self-starter, you’ll be capable of thinking outside the box and tailoring marketing solutions to the needs of clients.

In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with a competitive base salary plus superannuation, and access to an uncapped commission incentive scheme.
