Mrs Mac’s commits to Free Range Eggs

Free range eggs are now an important ingredient in all Mrs Mac’s pastry products; affirming the company’s well-known ‘quality you can trust’ pledge.

Australia’s largest family owned bakery began implementing its free range egg commitment at the end of 2018 as part of its approach to continuous improvement for consumers. The company has now eliminated the use of cage eggs from all its products, which are sold nationally via a wide range of retail outlets and at major events.

Executive Chef, Wayne Booth said Mrs Mac’s is committed to producing hearty, nourishing food and providing consumers with the finest quality bakery products that meet their changing expectations and needs.

“We’re delighted to announce that from the start of 2019, we have only used free range eggs in the products that consumers across Australia are enjoying on a daily basis.

This important decision reflects our continuous effort to be a leader for consumers by understanding their expectations and delivering the best products for our many loyal and long-standing customers,” he said.

In addition to celebrating the good practices of local suppliers like Golden Eggs, Mrs Mac’s ‘quality you can trust’ pledge extends to sourcing 100% Australian flour, beef, chicken and pork.
