New Mood Food proposed near Hobart Airport

Plans are underway for a new Mood Food outlet near Hobart Airport, complete with an aircraft viewing platform.

Bennett’s Petroleum lodged an application with Clarence City Council to revamp the empty site at 259 Kennedy Drive, Cambridge, into a new Mood Food store.

The plans reveal the site would feature 11 fuel pumps, a drive-through Mood Food, and a viewing platform, with covered and uncovered seating areas, that would enable customers to watch the comings and goings of aircraft at the airport.

Mood Food currently has a number of sites across Tasmania including in Huonville, Kempton, New Norfolk, Rokeby, and Launceston.

The site was previously occupied by JDM Storage Solutions before being sold in November 2022 for $1.5 million.
