PepsiCo Australia has been named the ‘Employer of Choice’ for companies with more than 1,000 employees at the 2021 Australian HR Awards.
It is the second time in five years PepsiCo Australia has won the award, previously winning in 2017. The award recognises employers that are raising the bar in the areas of leadership, employee engagement, communication and employee benefits.
Danny Celoni, PepsiCo ANZ CEO, credits the award to the HR team’s innovative approach of placing employee wellbeing at the centre of PepsiCo’s culture.
“This award recognises the people-centric culture we have at PepsiCo that continues to enable our accelerated growth. Together with our PepsiCo Way behaviours, which encourage bold thinking, collaboration and foster trust, we are creating an environment that encourages diversity, normalises flexibility and rewards our people,” said Celoni.
In 2020, PepsiCo Australia introduced a Flextime policy that allowed employees flexibility in both the hours and location of their work with COVID-19 being a driving force behind that change.
PepsiCo ANZ Senior HR Director, Anita Patrick said: “Every associate contributes to the unique culture we have at PepsiCo, and our programs are embraced at every level, which is why they have had such a big impact. Covid-19 has brought a fundamental shift to the way modern organisations operate, and I’m incredibly proud of my team and how they continue to bring new ideas that help to make PepsiCo a great place to work every day, whether that is from one of our offices, manufacturing sites or from home”.
