Reckitt Benckiser (RB) has appointed Darryl McAlister as the company’s Sales Director in Australia, to oversee its consumer healthcare portfolio.
McAlister joins from within the company, previously leading the pharmacy sales strategy for RB Health within Australia.
Boasting more than 25 years’ sales experience, McAlister has enjoyed almost a year at RB Health and before that held roles at other major healthcare companies such as Integria Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare.
Speaking about his new appointment, McAlister said: “I am thrilled to commence in the role of Sales Director at RB Health at a time the industry has shown such resilience and compassion for its partners and consumers, through the pandemic.
“My dedicated sales team at RB Health provides high quality consumer healthcare products and we have a responsibility to make these easily accessible to our customers across our markets.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to find new and innovative ways to deliver our products to Australians, that influence a better outcome for our customers’ lives, offering health and hygiene self-care options for families around the world.”
McAlister will lean on learnings and insights garnered from decades in the industry to lead the sales strategies for RB Health brands. Well known among consumers in Australia, these brands include Dettol, Durex, Gaviscon, Nurofen, Strepsils, Veet and more.
McAlister replaces David Rankine, who after five years as RB Health’s ANZ Sales Director was appointed as RB Health’s ANZ Regional Director in September this year.
