Shell Energy Australia appoints new CEO

Experienced leader Tony Keeling has been appointed as CEO of Shell Energy Australia, following the departure of Greg Joiner.

Keeling most recently was CEO of Shell Energy Retail Europe, and over the past 20 years, he has built and led large customer-focused businesses, leading teams to navigate and deliver in complex and regulated markets.

Prior to joining Shell, Keeling served for 10 years on the management board of SSE plc, a FTSE 30 vertically integrated energy business in the UK, focused on building and operating renewable generation, transmission and distribution networks, trading, energy solutions, and retail.

Keeling has also been managing director of retail and energy solutions businesses, including several within the OVO Energy Group. He has worked for the UK’s Health Security Agency Government on the response to COVID-19, has been a non-executive director on the boards of several companies in the clean tech and energy space, and a management consultant at PwC.

Keeling commenced his role as CEO with Shell Energy Australia in January, following Joiner’s appointment as CEO of Shell Energy Europe.
