Motorists in Orange are the envy of everyone else as the city enjoys cheap petrol prices.
NRMA spokeswoman Rebecca Page said the prices of petrol in Orange are cheaper than those in Sydney at 129.4 cents per litre.
Ms Page said the price cuts had been driven by the independent petrol stations opening in the area.
“This is excellent news for Orange motorists,” she said.
“If you’re running on empty, or you’ve got half a tank, fill up now.
“You don’t know when they are going to go back up again.
“When the prices are high they stay high for a long time. When they are low, they don’t stay low.
“Retailers can charge whatever they like.”
